How to open and close wire hoop earrings.
1. Open a O shaped hoop earring by grasping the ends on each side and gently twisting one side toward you and one side away from you.
2. Place the hoop into the ear piercing, and close the O shape back the same way. This is easiest to do if you insert the hoop far enough so that the closing mechanism hangs down below your earlobe. Once you have closed your earring, slide the hoop so that the closing mechanism is hidden behind your earlobe.

Never open the O shaped hoop by making a C shape out of it as you will ruin the hoop and it can't then be properly closed.
